Turkish Airlines aims to tap into China

Owners of holiday accommodation in Turkey may be likely to benefit from increased tourism from China.
Turkish Airlines chief Temel Kotil is understood to be aiming to raise the number of flights between the two countries from five to seven times a week.
Speaking to the New Anatolian, Mr Kotil stated that the present amount was "not enough" and that he wanted to add additional services.
He commented: "I will speak to Chinese officials to raise the number of flights."
The airline already operates services from Istanbul to both Shanghai and Beijing, although stepping up the frequency would enable it to tap into this market further.
As one of the largest countries in the world, China could be a potentially lucrative place from which to attract holidaymakers.
Recently, Mr Kotil stated that by 2010, he hoped the firm would be transporting 30 million passengers.
He added that it would also begin expanding its fleet and replacing some of its aircraft next year.
