Mediterranean coastline will be preserved

The Mediterranean coastline's natural appeal is set to be sustained as a result of new rules, experts have stated.
According to the Foreign Property Buyer website, some of the countries in the region have pledged to stop building new structures within 100 metres of the sea.
The online portal stated that this was good news for both the area itself and property investors have interests in the market.
Commenting on the new rules, it said: "The ban will allow areas with stunning coastline to remain beautiful and unspoilt."
Foreign Property Buyer added that property built before the legislation came into effect would be in high demand and prove to be potentially lucrative for investors.
Currently, 14 countries have pledged to adhere to the planning restrictions, although several more including Cyprus and Turkey are expected to sign up later this year.
This comes after the news portal reported that the Italian government was making moves to limit building in green spaces such as forests.
