British investors set to head for Turkey

Turkey could be set to receive greater interest from UK-based property investors this year, an expert has predicted.
Dominic Whiting, editor of the Buying in Turkey guide, said the introduction of new flights to Dalaman by easyJet would draw people to the region.
In addition, he stated that the Bodrum peninsula was also likely to attract considerable attention during 2008, as there were a range of attractions on offer.
For example, he highlighted the region's "excellent" nightlife, entertainment, dining and leisure facilities.
Mr Whiting commented: "Bodrum has a great choice of property from city centre apartments to sea-view villas or multi-million pound palaces."
He added that property in Turkey was relatively cheap, especially when compared with other countries such as Spain and Portugal.
This comes after the Turkish Daily News revealed that visitor numbers in Turkey rose by 18 per cent to 23 million last year.
