Spanish lifestyle praised by rock legend

A major rock star has spoken positively of his recent decision to set up home in Spain.
Rick Parfitt, singer and guitarist with Status Quo, decided to leave the UK with his wife Lyndsay in 2006.
The couple decided that they would live in their Spanish villa permanently, a move Parfitt says has been good for him.
Speaking to the Evening Post, the rock legend stated that the country was a very peaceful alternative to the UK.
In fact, he said it could be so quiet that he sometimes believed other people could hear the ringing in his ears that was brought on by his tinnitus.
Parfitt continued: "It is a nicer climate and very quiet and very laid back."
He added that because he was so used to being in a busy rock band, living in Spain was a "lovely contrast" to his work.
However, Parfitt is currently unable to enjoy the benefits of living abroad as he is touring the UK with the other members of Status Quo.
