Spain to attract bank holiday visitors

Low-cost airline easyJet is forecasting bumper passenger numbers this forthcoming bank holiday weekend.
It is expecting to handle 450,000 passengers over the holiday break, many of whom will be flying to countries like Spain.
The favourite sunny hotspots are Malaga and Alicante, while Barcelona is proving to be very popular with holidaymakers who are looking for a city break.
Marianne West, easyJet consumer spokesperson, said that more people than ever are taking advantage of their bank holiday weekend "to soak up a little sun or experience a few cultural days away on a city break".
"It's impossible to rely on the great British weather and let's face it, sunshine and relaxation is far more appealing than DIY," she added.
The Spanish transport department has said it is expecting 6.6 million car journeys on Spain's road network over the long bank holiday.
