New flights to Spain and Portugal to be launched

Owners of holiday accommodation in Spain and Portugal are set to benefit from the introduction of new flights to tourist hotspots.
British Airways is planning to launch extra services between Heathrow and Malaga in March 2008.
Flights from Gatwick to Palma, Alicante and Malaga will also commence operations at the same time, along with a route to Faro.
This should lead to increased tourism in these destinations, meaning that owners of holiday accommodation are likely to receive higher rental yields next year.
Commenting on the move, BA commercial director Robert Boyle said: "We are opening up these Mediterranean hotspots with our new flights and are confident that they will be very popular with customers."
This comes after Co-operative Travel stated that Spain was likely to receive an influx of British tourists at Christmas, as it offered a sunnier alternative to the UK.
