More UK tourists to visit Spain

An increased number of British holidaymakers are likely to visit Spain due to new flights being introduced.
Thomas Cook Holidays will launch the services from Leeds Bradford Airport next year due to strong demand from people in the area.
The additional services are likely to boost the Spanish tourist trade, resulting in greater demand for holiday accommodation.
This means that new opportunities for overseas property buyers could be created in the country.
Investment prospects in other European countries could also be enhanced, as Thomas Cook Holidays will offer extra flights to Turkey, Cyprus and Portugal.
James Burrows, aviation director of Thomas Cook, commented: "We recognise the potential for growth at Leeds Bradford Airport and by having a based aircraft we can meet the increased demand of the people in the region."
This comes after Co-operative Travel stated that Spain was likely to receive an influx of British tourists at Christmas, as it offered a sunnier alternative to the UK.
