Money 'goes further overseas'

Homeowners in the UK could find their money goes further if they invest abroad, according to new figures.
Researchers at A Place in the Sun Live carried out a comparison of various property markets in order to highlight the difference between prices in Britain and mainland Europe.
The study showed that the value of a typical flat in London - just over £300,000 - could pay for both a villa on the Costa Blanca and an apartment in Almeria.
In addition, the money could also pay for three properties in Turkey, including a four-bedroom villa in Dalaman province.
Whereas the flat in London offers access to vital amenities such as transport links, the highlighted foreign properties were said to offer further attractions such as proximity to the coast, beaches and "amazing landscapes".
A Place in the Sun Live commented: "Londoners can get more for their hard-earned money abroad."
According to A Place in the Sun magazine, Spain and Turkey are currently two of the three most popular foreign markets among British buyers.
