Investors 'head for inland Spain'

Investors in the Spanish market are increasingly opting for less established inland areas, according to an expert.
Mark Bodega of currency specialist HiFX said that while some parts of Spain were suffering a slump due to over-supply, other regions still had a lot to offer to foreign property buyers.
He stated that less traditional inland regions were now becoming more popular with savvy investors, as these markets had not yet been tapped into.
Mr Bodega commented: "With an abundance of low-cost airline routes, short flight times and the great weather both countries will always be a favourite with British buyers."
He said Spain had consistently been the most popular destination for Britons buying abroad during the last few years, adding that it was likely to remain so in 2008.
Robin Haynes of Foreign Currency Direct recently described the country as the "number one destination" for overseas investors from the UK.
