Expats in Spain can stay close to home

People living in Spain do not have to be cut off from their relatives back home, two expats have stated.
Ann Eagle and Eric Warren, who relocated from Newcastle and Leeds respectively, said they had not missed out on seeing their grandchildren because they live abroad.
Speaking to BBC News, both pointed out that a trip from the UK to Spain would take just as long as driving the length of Britain.
Mr Warren went on to say that his new life in Spain was "brilliant", partly because the weather was much better than at home.
He added that he had spent six months in the country before deciding to purchase a property and relocate on a permanent basis.
Meanwhile, Ms Eagle said she was enjoying a much better quality of life in Spain than she had in the UK.
This follows a study by NatWest which found that 55 per cent of British expatriates left because they were unhappy with some aspects of their life at home.
