Britons to keep moving abroad

People from the UK are set to keep moving abroad during the next few years, according to a national newspaper.
The Telegraph cited estimates from NatWest which show that about 1.8 million Britons are likely to be spending their retirement abroad by 2025.
Commenting on the figures, the newspaper said they showed it is wrong to suggest that the appeal of living overseas will soon fade away.
The publication remarked: "Any idea that the exodus from Britain of those settling abroad might be waning appears wildly premature."
However, the Telegraph urged older people in particular to take a number of practical considerations into account, such as access to healthcare facilities.
Prospective expats were told this is important because many of those who are retiring to the sun are doing so at a time when their health is beginning to deteriorate.
According to the Office for National Statistics, more than 200,000 UK nationals moved abroad during 2006.
The organisation highlighted France and Spain as two of the most popular destinations for British expats.
