Almeria a good bet for investment

Taking the time to carefully consider location could lead to lucrative investments in Spain, according to property experts.
Though fears of an imminent crash have recently surrounded the Spanish market, bargain properties are still widely available.
John Reilly, managing director of estate agents Buy Abroad, said that profitable long-term investments could be found if buyers steered clear of over-saturated areas.
"Certainly Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca have suffered from oversupply and that has depressed prices in some areas," he confirmed.
"But places like Almeria and Tropical are still experiencing good capital growth and there's still plenty of buyers."
He continued: "With Spain, it's a buyer's market and you have to choose that location or the area that you're buying in carefully if you want capital growth."
Spain's economy is the fifth biggest in Europe, thanks in no small part to its property market, with house prices soaring by an amazing 170 per cent between 1997 and 2005.
