Investment property in Spain
Buying Guide
Property Overview
An established market
The property market in Spain is firmly established, reasonably easy to navigate and remains a top destination for investors, holiday home owners and permanent expat residents.
The full spectrum of options
Every style and budget has its place.
All types of property are available from a patch of rural land ripe for construction through to old farmhouses and mega-mansions and luxury apartment complexes.
The vast majority of marketed property is freehold.
There is no such thing as an 'average price' as they differ wildly in the same town, let alone the same region.
Six main areas to choose between
To divide Spain's property geographically, its autonomous regions serve the purpose quite well, although there is some blurring on the boundaries.
The main regions are Andalucia, Murcia and Valencia, Catalonia, the northern coast, the interior and the Islands.
