Slovenia recommended to property investors
Overseas property buyers who want to acquire a bargain home have been advised to invest in Slovenia.
The SaveBorrowSpend website placed the eastern European country in its list of recommended investment markets for 2008.
Slovenia was praised for offering a number of attractions, such as an unspoilt and rugged environment, as well as affordable property prices.
The country's location was also cited as a positive feature, as it is in easy reach of places such as Italy, Austria and parts of the former Yugoslavia.
SaveBorrowSpend went on to recommend a number of other eastern European countries as well, including Poland and Romania.
The portal said that although these were both long-term investments, each location had a growing property market and offered the potential for earning strong returns.
This comes after the Telegraph described 2007 as a "good year" for eastern Europe, since many countries in the area had seen local property booms.
