Investors drawn to eastern Europe
Eastern European countries are continuing to attract overseas property investors, according to experts.
Property analysts NuBricks.com said the region has become "something of a magnet" for foreign buyers during the last decade, as many investors have found it highly lucrative.
The website added that its affordability has been one of its main attractions, as property is much cheaper than in many other European countries.
Furthermore, the price of food in places such as Croatia was said to be less than 90 per cent of the EU average.
This means that investors have been able to enter a growing market at a relatively low price and enjoy considerable capital appreciation.
NuBricks.com said: "Markets such as Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia have become runaway success stories."
This comes after Dnevnik Daily cited figures from the Bulgarian Central Bank which showed that Britons are the most prolific overseas investors in the country.
