Slovakia 'popular with foreign investors'

Slovakia is increasingly becoming a popular destination among overseas property buyers from the UK.
According to the Foreign Property Buyer website, the country's growing property market has attracted a considerable number of investors from overseas.
The online portal said Slovakia was proving to be an appealing option because it offered benefits such as a growing economy and one of the largest GDPs in eastern Europe.
Bratislava was named as the first place that foreign investors tended to look at, since there was considerable demand for rental accommodation in the city.
Foreign Property Buyer added that the location also had provided buyers with the potential for capital growth and strong rental yields.
The website commented: "Property prices in the country are likely to continue on their upward trend in the near future."
Slovakia became an independent country after splitting from the Czech Republic in 1993.
