Recent EU entrants 'could be good investments'

Countries that have recently entered the EU could be lucrative markets for foreign property buyers, experts have advised.
Knight Frank stated that many countries in eastern Europe had enjoyed benefits such as a fast rate of economic growth since they became full members.
Commenting in research commissioned by the Daily Telegraph, the organisation identified Romania as a particularly good option for overseas investors, along with Poland.
Liam Bailey, head of residential research at Knight Frank, said: "We are highlighting the new accession states because this is where the big employment and economic growth will be concentrated in the next ten years."
He highlighted Portugal as an example of a country that had gone through this process in the wake of its accession to the EU, meaning that it was "very likely" that this would happen again in eastern European nations.
Poland became a full member in May 2004, while Romania was admitted in January of this year.
