Investors see capital growth in Romania

Owners of an investment property in Romania are currently seeing their houses appreciate in value.
According to independent analyst Amberlamb, continuing demand for property in the eastern European nation is driving growth in the housing market.
This is largely because the current number of available properties is insufficient to meet all the interest, which has led to existing houses becoming more expensive to buy.
As a result, people who have invested early in the Romanian market could find themselves in line to collect a profit should they choose to sell up at a later date.
Commenting on the trends in the country's housing market, Amberlamb expressed surprised at the level of growth it is currently experiencing, as many locations have been negatively affected by the credit crunch.
The organisation said: "The rest of the world is worried about the gloomy economic prospects in the likes of the US and the UK and the fact that housing markets everywhere are starting to feel the pinch of all this negative financial energy."
Romania has attracted greater levels of attention from overseas partly as a result of its recent accession to the European Union.
The country became a member of the international body in January 2007.
