Investors 'looking at Romania'

Foreign property buyers from the UK are showing increased interest in the Romanian property market, experts have stated.
According to research from the Homebuyer and Property Investor Show, house prices have started to go up since it joined the European Union in 2007.
This has attracted the attention of many British investors, as this means the future sale price of property in Romania could be much higher than the amount it can be purchased for at the moment.
In addition, the country's status as an emerging market means that property in the country is relatively cheap when compared with many other European destinations.
Researchers at the event believe that during the next year, house prices could go up by between 15 and 25 per cent.
The introduction of cheap flights to Romania from the UK was cited as another cause of the property boom.
Last year, Blue Air began offering passage between Stansted Airport and capital city Bucharest.
