Cheap flights draw investors to Romania

Romania's popularity with second home buyers is being largely driven by airlines, according to a newspaper.
The Telegraph stated that the introduction of cheap flights to the eastern European country had opened it up to prospective investors from the UK.
Buyers were said to be tempted because it meant that Romania was accessible easily and frequently and at an affordable price.
In addition, it stated that this was particularly important if property buyers planned to let their property out to tourists.
Commenting on the influence of airlines, the Telegraph remarked: "The measure of a good overseas investment property is not always how much the sun shines or how low prices are."
The newspaper cited Wizz Air and easyJet as two examples of low-cost carriers that were currently increasing their presence in Romania.
According to official data, almost 850,000 Britons now own a property overseas.
