Portugal offers many attractions, says newspaper
People who buy a property in Portugal could be in line to enjoy a number of its natural attributes, a newspaper has revealed.
The country was actively praised by the Sun for offering benefits such as good weather and a pleasant natural environment.
Readers were told that as well as miles of golden sand and clear blue waters, Portugal also has many other positive attractions.
For example, the publication said people could visit places such as its capital city Lisbon, as well as more peaceful alternatives.
The Sun commented: "You will also find deserted beaches, quiet coastal walks and picturesque fishing villages and harbours."
Portugal was described as a "land of contrasts" that offers all the ingredients of a "perfect holiday".
This could explain why Country Life figures show that 38,000 Britons now live in Portugal on a permanent basis, while a further 11,000 own holiday homes.
