Portugal 'is good for overseas buyers'
Portugal offers good investment opportunities for overseas property buyers, according to a media report from Ireland.
The Irish Independent highlighted the strong economy and broad appeal of the country for different types of people, such as sports fans and lovers of the countryside.
For example, the newspaper said that many tourist destinations had good outdoor facilities, such as golf courses, swimming pools and tennis courts, with more still being developed.
In addition, it said that if people were looking for an "idyllic rural hideaway", Portugal still had "a lot to offer".
Investors who wanted the peace and quiet of a rural area were advised to consider investing in and maybe renovating a rural farmhouse or cottage.
The Irish Independent commented: "The Portuguese economy is strong and the opportunity to buy quality property in great locations remains excellent."
This comes after Homes Worldwide highlighted the popularity of Portugal with parents who were going on holiday with their children during the October school break.
