Polish tourism enhanced by rail link

The introduction of a new rail pass will make travel between Germany and Poland easier and cheaper than ever before.
The addition of Poland to the Eurail travel pass network should provide a major boost to the tourism industry, with big discounts available.
The Eurail Germany-Poland Pass offers unlimited rail travel in five, six, eight or ten day periods within a two month timeframe, with reduced rates for travellers under 26.
Tourists can now inexpensively explore the many delights of Poland at their leisure, with the chance to take in the beautiful beaches of Gdansk, the hustle and bustle of Krakow, or the splendour of the Masurian Lakes, among others.
Polish tourism looks set to go from strength to strength, following yesterday's announcement that the country will co-host the Euro 2012 football championships with the Ukraine.
Speaking to uefa.com, sports minister Tomas Lipiec confirmed: "We see this as an opportunity to promote Poland as well as to boost economic development and also our image abroad."
