Polish currency boom could spell economic increase

With Polish currency shooting up in recent weeks, opportunities for canny property investors will no doubt increase.
Figures from the Post Office have shown that zloty has been steadily rising and holiday to the area are increasing two-fold from the previous year.
In fact, eastern Europe as a whole is seeing currency increases with the lev and kuna going up by 43 and 33 per cent respectively on last year.
With this economic upturn in Poland and residents of the country with money to burn there will be opportunities for potential buy-to-let investors.
This also applies to the increased number of UK holidaymakers travelling to the country.
Kevin McAdam, Post Office head of travel services, said: "While the bulk of travellers may be Poles flying between the UK and Poland, our branches have reported a big increase in demand for the Polish zloty by UK holidaymakers.
"Flights and accommodation are cheap and costs are low in cultural centres like Warsaw and Krakow, which have shed their communist cloaks to become vibrant modern cities."
