More countries enter border-free zone

Europe's border-free zone has been expanded to include nine more countries - a move which further opens up the eastern side of the continent.
The Schengen agreement now covers a total of 24 nations, allowing people to travel between them without having their passport checked.
Most of the new entrants to the zone are in eastern Europe, including the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
This is likely to prove a significant step in integrating both sides of the continent, as the freedom of the borders is likely to draw more people to these countries.
Conversely, people in the new entrants may now be more willing to explore other members of the zone, such as Spain, Italy and France.
Speaking at a special ceremony last night, prime minister of Slovakia Robert Fico said: "From midnight tonight you can travel 4,000 km from Tallinn in Estonia to Lisbon in Portugal without any border controls."
Other countries already in the zone include Austria, Finland, Germany, Norway and the Netherlands.
