Budget airline launches new eastern Europe services

An airline has begun operating new services to Poland and the Czech Republic from the UK.
Budget carrier easyJet is now flying from Belfast Airport to Gdansk and Prague as part of its expansion in Northern Ireland.
This should result in improved access to eastern Europe for people in the province and potentially create new opportunities for overseas property investors.
David Osborne, UK general manager at easyJet, said that the journey times to the region would be significantly reduced for Northern Irish people.
He commented: "We have ensured that the travelling public no longer have to endure lengthy connections through London airports and can now fly directly to the main airports of Europe's major cities"
Mr Osborne added that the introduction of the flights showed the firm's commitment to Northern Ireland and consumers in the region.
This comes after the International Air Transport Association predicted that eastern European countries such as Poland would see a surge in the number of foreign arrivals in the next few years.
