North Africa 'becoming more popular'

A growing number of holidaymakers from the UK are choosing to visit north Africa, according to a media report.
The Sun newspaper said the region was becoming increasingly popular with British tourists because it was an affordable destination that offered winter sun.
This, it stated, made the country an appealing choice at this time of year, as more and more Britons were thinking of travelling to sunnier climes.
"As the temperatures plummet in the UK, the temptation to spend a few balmy days in the sun rockets," it continued.
Morocco was highlighted as an especially popular location, mainly because it offered warm temperatures, good beaches and lots of leisure activities.
Egypt was also named as a hotspot for British tourists in winter, as it also had "plenty to see and do" at this time of year.
According to a study by Co-operative Travel, about 3.3 million Britons are set to travel abroad to a sunny location this Christmas.
