Morocco's tourism sector attracts praise

Authorities in Morocco have been commended for encouraging growth in its travel and tourism sector.
According to ClickAfrique, the government has made boosting the industry one of its key priorities in the last few years.
The publication said it has helped to drive expansion in the sector by introducing new rules and regulation which have supported it.
However, it believes that more can still be done in order to improve certain parts of its infrastructure, in particular its transport network.
Commenting on recent developments, ClickAfrique said: "The Moroccan government prioritises the development of the tourism industry in the country."
The comments came after Morocco was praised by the World Economic Forum for encouraging growth in its holiday sector.
Authorities in the country are currently aiming to increase annual visitor numbers from 7.4 million in 2007 to 10 million by 2010.
This is likely to be welcomed by people who own an investment property in Morocco, as it means demand for rental accommodation should go up.
