Morocco's government continues to invest in tourism

Efforts to boost the number of foreign visitors in Morocco are continuing, according to a media report.
The country's government is currently aiming to increase the annual number of visitors to ten million by 2010, Magharebia.com has revealed.
As part of its drive to achieve this goal, more than £7 million is being spent on building new resorts in areas such as Errachidia and Zagora.
The creation of new leisure facilities and tourist accommodation should also have the effect of boosting the Moroccan economy, as it will lead to new jobs in various sectors.
In addition, the resulting growth in the country's holiday industry could also make it a more attractive market for overseas property investors to consider, particularly if they plan to purchase rental accommodation for tourists.
According to the SaveBorrowSpend website, property values in some parts of Morocco have risen by between 15 and 20 per cent in the last year.
