Holidaymakers 'flocking to north Africa'

North Africa is likely to be the world's next tourism hotspot, according to travel experts.
Euromonitor stated that the recent surge of interest in countries such as Morocco and Egypt was set to continue, possibly even spreading to other neighbouring nations.
The organisation said that the popularity of these locations among European holidaymakers had resulted in a series of benefits, such as generating revenue for their governments to put into projects such as infrastructure developments.
In addition, it highlighted the increased amount of foreign investment that had taken place in recent years.
Clement Wong, tourism research manager at the organisation, added: "There is an optimism that both Algeria and Libya can learn and benefit from the successes of Morocco and Egypt."
Earlier this month, online travel agency Freedom Direct stated that Morocco was an attractive destination for British holidaymakers because it offered travellers the chance to experience a new culture and more exotic surroundings.
