Winter sports fans to visit emerging markets

Winter sports fans from Britain could boost emerging property markets this Christmas, it has emerged.
Markets such as Bulgaria could be boosted by increased tourism and activity in the rental markets with 2.5 million holidaymakers set to travel from Britain this Christmas, according to easyJet.
Flights from Gatwick to Sofia will provide routes to the Bransko and Borovets ski resorts in Bulgaria, the airliner confirmed.
Claiming to be Europe's biggest ski airline, easyjet has revealed that it has expanded the number of routes from UK airports to European destinations to 72.
While traditional destinations such as Geneva, Switzerland and Turin, Italy have been favoured by Britons en route to European ski destinations, the airliner noted tourists can now access the slopes of emerging destinations with Sofia among such new editions to its ski route portfolio.
"Winter sports enthusiasts from across the UK have a greater choice of destinations from the convenience of their local airport when heading to the slopes this season," easyJet commented.
According to a survey of Britons by Kayak.co.uk, some 43 per cent of respondents cited the weather as the main reason for wanting to travel abroad this Christmas.
