Lake Como property booming

The increasing availability of low cost flights is boosting the profit potential of investment property on Lake Como, according to local experts.
With the beautiful region already a popular tourist destination - and a favoured spot for celebrity second homes - capital growth in the area is sure to be bolstered by its improving accessibility.
Talking to the Telegraph, Linda Travella, a property expert specialising in Lake Como housing, confirmed that buy-to-let investment could prove lucrative.
"The increase in cheap flights from the UK to Milan's three airports has made a big difference," she said.
"Properties here have a fantastic rental income."
Lake Como featured in the climactic scenes of the last James bond movie, Casino Royale, and is home to several celebrity properties.
George Clooney has lived in the area for years - frequently entertaining his Ocean's 13 co-stars on his yacht - while Richard Branson, Sting and Ryanair chief Michael O'Leary are also all believed to own lakeside homes.
