Italy tempts property expert

A television property expert has revealed that she has recently bought a holiday home in Italy.
Amanda Lamb, host of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun, told the Manchester Evening News that after filming an edition of the show in Puglia, she opted to buy a house in the region.
She stated that while it was very easy to get blasé about each destination during the making of the programme, she was instantly drawn to the area.
Speaking to the newspaper, she said: "I walked into the third property we were showing a couple and thought 'Oh God, this is beautiful'."
However, Ms Lamb added that it would be "bad form" to buy a property that was under consideration by guests on her show, which meant she would need to look for something similar.
She now owns a holiday home in an area that is currently seeing considerable house price inflation, which makes it both a good lifestyle purchase and a lucrative investment.
This comes after Holiday-Rentals revealed that more than one in ten European properties that are owned by Britons are in Italy.
