Italy 'offers high-quality property'

Most Italian properties are high-quality buildings that are suitable for tourists, an expert has said.
Property writer Michael Peterson said that holidaymakers had high expectations of the standard of rented villas or apartments, as well as the level of access to important amenities.
These issues could prove to be important to owners of rental accommodation in Italy, since the tourist trade could sustain their investment.
Mr Peterson commented: "If you choose a villa or a rental home, you can only expect the best in accommodations."
He added that Italy offered a variety of attractions to holidaymakers that could sustain the tourist trade for the whole year.
For example, he listed a number of historical and cultural attractions such as the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican Museums.
This comes after a recent poll by Saga Holidays showed that holidaymakers from Britain rated Italy as their preferred location in Europe for a break.
