Italian tourism presents investment opportunities

Buy-to-let investors could cash in on a new trend in the Italian tourist sector, according to experts.
NuBricks.com said British holidaymakers are increasingly choosing to visit the country in order to try an authentic portion of its world-famous food.
The website described this development as "something of a new market" for overseas property investors, as it means places which are well-known in culinary circles could have a strong rental market.
For example, a recent study by Expedia.co.uk revealed that many lovers of Parma ham are choosing to visit the Italian town from which it takes its name.
NuBricks.com said: "It will come as no surprise to hear that Italy is among the most popular gastronomic tourism destinations when it comes to world cuisine."
The website added that more and more people are taking the old saying "When in Rome do as the Romans do" literally.
