Italian province recommended to investors

The Italian province of Calabria has been singled out as a potentially good investment spot.
According to RealPoint Italy, the area is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination, meaning that a possible boom in property prices could ensue.
Therefore, the firm has recommended that overseas property investors consider it a viable investment spot, either as a rental or holiday home.
Eddy Crompton, director of RealPoint Italy, commented: "Now tourism is taking hold, certain pockets are popular with holiday makers coming to Italy."
He highlighted Tropea as a particular good location, as it was close to the sea and offered relatively warm temperatures even in winter.
However, Mr Crompton recommended that buyers make sure they purchase from a recognised developer who will carry out due diligence on their behalf.
The investment potential of Calabria was recently flagged up by medpropertyshop.com, which described the region as an "up and coming" market.
