Italian people 'live the longest'

People in Italy tend to live longer than people in other European countries, according to new research.
A study by the Academy of Healthy Ageing found that good living allowed Italian men to reach an average age of 71, which was the highest recorded figure in Europe.
Meanwhile, their female counterparts were said to reach the age of 76 on average, reports the Typically Spanish website.
Their longevity was attributed to numerous factors, such as their good diet and their quality of life, two factors which may attract foreign people to move to the country.
Italians were said to enjoy a better quality of life than people in other EU countries, although Spain was not far behind.
Men and women in the neighbouring Mediterranean country were said to reach an average age of 70 and 75.3 years old.
According to a poll by Yorkshire Bank, lifestyle benefits such as a warm climate are leading more than four in ten Britons to considering buying property abroad.
