Investors enter Alpine market

Properties in the Alps are becoming more and more popular with British investors, according to an industry analyst.
Paul Collins, property editor at BuyAssociation, stated that the mountain range is attracting greater levels of attention because it offers lots of lifestyle attractions.
He highlighted its suitability for winter sports such as skiing as one of its main attributes, although he said people could also enjoy other outdoor activities in the region.
Walking and horse riding were flagged up as two popular pursuits which can be enjoyed in the Alps, along with mountain biking and paragliding.
Mr Collins commented: "There is a quite a market for adventure and outdoor sports in these places."
He added that the Alps are also well-serviced by budget airlines, which offer services to the area all year round.
However, currency specialist HiFX has advised that prospective investors look for a property during the summer months, as asking prices are likely to be lower at this time of year.
