Europe opened up to Northern Irish consumers

The aviation sector in Northern Ireland is continuing to grow with the introduction of new flights by Aer Lingus.
Routes to European destinations such as Barcelona have been launched by the carrier this week, while services to places including Rome will begin operating next year.
Regional newspaper the Belfast Telegraph described this as a major milestone for air travelin the province, as it means local people are now able to enjoy more cheap flights to other countries.
Speaking to the newspaper, Aer Lingus chief executive Dermot Mannion said: "We're making a very substantial commitment to Belfast from day one with nine destinations to start with."
The move also has the potential to boost tourism in various European countries, therefore enhancing their appeal among foreign property buyers as a result.
According to a recent study by UKForex, Spain is also one of the most popular destinations for British expatriates.
