Berlin landlords enjoy 85 per cent rentals

Landlords in Berlin are raking it in.
That is according to a spokesman for Buy Association, who said that landlords do business with up to 85 per cent of the population in the German capital.
Property editor Paul Collins, said that, due to the widespread renting culture, property investment in Germany can make for a shrewd move.
"The chances of being able to let [your property] out are particularly good," he said.
However, Mr Collins did point out that there can be pitfalls, saying that it may be difficult to shed a property later down the line.
He explained: "There just isn't the same property culture [in Germany] so if you buy a property
there's not so much of a market to sell it on again afterwards."
He also pointed out that, as is the case in the UK, the law is generally weighted in favour of the tenant rather than the landlord.
