Cheap flights "price war"

Jetting around Europe is set to become even cheaper, after low-cost airline Ryanair announced new price cuts.
Ten million tickets will be available for just £10, including taxes, with the Irish carrier attempting to tempt customers in the over-saturated budget flights market.
Chief executive Michael O'Leary admitted that the price measures – including a pledge to reimburse customers if they find that a different airline is offering a cheaper fare on the same route – could jeopardise future profits.
However, in announcing "we are launching our latest price war across
Europe", Mr O'Leary added that the price cuts were intended to harm his competitors, claiming that he wanted to "go and kick them when we can".
Budget airlines had recently been criticised for imposing hidden charges, with passengers finding their cheap flights hit by fees for additional services such as advanced check-in or baggage handling.
The slashed prices – to which Easyjet responded by promising lower fares – spell good news for overseas property investors, with cheap, convenient travel across Europe set to grow.
