Brits most worried by the weather

A new survey has found that the weather is the most important concern for British investors looking at foreign property.
Rather than worrying about local legal peculiarities or property taxes, the majority of Brit buyers are most interested in how much they'll be able to top up their tan.
Some 2,315 people were questioned by exchange specialists Foreign Currency Direct, with 51 per cent of 35 to 44-year-olds admitting that local laws were not something that they'd consider when buying abroad.
Peter S Ellis, chief executive officer of Foreign Currency Direct, was concerned by the results:
"Property taxes and local laws should not be ignored and it is extremely important for people to consider all factors when buying property abroad - including currency exchange and transfer - which can have a dramatic impact on the final cost of an overseas home."
He continued: "People should seek guidance and support when making such life changing decisions."
The younger generation showed a great deal more foresight than their elders, with some 89 per cent considering currency exchange rates as the most important consideration in moving abroad.
