Advertising drawing more investors to Hungary

Increased advertising of emerging overseas property markets like Hungary is attracting growing numbers of British buyers, according to property experts.
A member of the European Union since May 2004, the central European nation attracts huge amounts of foreign investment, with more than $23 billion injected into the country since 1989 and its economic growth has resulted in more western awareness of the capital returns on offer.
Simon Walker, sales director of property advisers Offplan International, said that British investors should be quick to invest, as its potential was becoming more widely recognised.
"[Hungary's] becoming one of the popular one overseas. It'sā¦one that's been overlooked by many people, but I think you'll find the investors nowadays are looking a lot further afield and are looking at lots of different countries, Hungary being one of them."
He continued: "A lot of it's to do with advertising and things like that and in the press and hearsay through peopleā¦It attracts people to the country and then they start looking."
