Traditional markets attract British families
Traditional tourist hotspots in Europe are proving to be very popular with British holidaymakers, according to an analyst.
Elizabeth Young, editor of the Travel for Kids guide, stated that places such as France are attracting a large number of young families in particular.
The country was said to be popular because it is both an affordable and easily accessible location.
This, she continued, means that it can in fact be easier to travel to France than drive to a British holiday resort.
Ms Young observed: "Paris is a perennial favourite and easy to travel to on the Eurostar."
The comments are likely to be welcomed by owners of an investment property in France, as it means rental demand in the country is still high.
As a result, rental investors could be able to benefit from high occupancy rates and healthy returns.
The country was recently flagged up as a hotspot for Britons in a study by Travelodge, coming ahead of places such as Greece and the US.
