Swiss Alps offer skiing and much more for investors

Ski resorts are growing as a potential property investment hotspot, as investors open up to some of the areas in the French and Swiss Alps.
Combining activities with breath-taking views, ski-resorts and their surrounding areas are reported to be growing in popularity among holidaymakers who decide they want to invest in their own property.
That is the view of Ski Invest director Terry Brine, who says the tendency for more and more resorts to operate all-year round has meant property investment offers a better return than it has done in previous years.
"These top resorts are developing that year-round experience and new properties there should show a good return," he commented.
"Investors are opening their minds now more to looking at an all-year round location for an investment property or second home, more so than before."
Clean air and an array of activities beyond skiing such as walking, climbing, horse riding and ballooning mean the resorts are broadening beyond simply the ski season. As a result investment property areas in Austria, France, Switzerland and Italy could all benefit.
In addition the potential for British investors to get to the Alps by train or plane without much fuss is seen as a plus point.
