Rental property 'in demand during school holidays'

Owners of rental property in Europe typically see the most demand during the school break, according to new research.
Holiday Lettings said that most people tended to go abroad while their children were off school, mainly to European countries.
Places such as Italy and France were said to see particularly strong demand at this time, as well as Spain.
The firm added that other, less established holiday destinations were also attracting increased levels of interest from British leisure travellers.
In particular, Croatia was highlighted as one country that was becoming very popular with both holidaymakers and overseas property buyers.
Holiday Lettings said: "Croatia has recovered magnificently from the break-up of Yugoslavia to today attract visitors and investors from all around the world."
Earlier this week, the ContraCosta Times described the former Yugoslavian state as a "hot destination" for leisure travellers from across Europe.
