Eurostar boosts interest in French market

Eurostar's new high-speed rail link could have a significant impact on the French property market, experts have predicted.
Knight Frank stated that the service between St Pancras International and Paris would boost the appeal of France to investors based in the UK.
The new rail link allows quicker passage between London and the French capital, with journeys lasting only two hours and 15 minutes.
This means that people could conceivably live in France and commute to their job in the UK.
Liam Bailey, head of residential research for Knight Frank, commented: "Paris will become much 'closer' in most people's reckoning and become a potential commuter location for London."
He added that the faster journey times would also encourage more investors to look at other parts of France, such as northern and central areas.
Eurostar's new service between the two countries was launched to the public last month.
