Britons 'interested in visiting France'

France's popularity as a holiday destination has increased recently, according to travel industry experts.
The Association of Independent Tour Operators (Aito) stated that the growing interest in the European country had come about as a result of its recent hosting of the Rugby World Cup.
This year's tournament was staged in cities such as Marseilles, Lyon and Paris and acted as an international showcase for France.
Aito said that its display of "outstanding hospitality" reminded British holidaymakers of what they had always liked about the country.
The organisation commented: "There really is no more agreeable short-haul European destination."
This comes after currency specialist HiFX highlighted a surge of interest in purchasing French property, which it attributed to the forthcoming launch of a new high-speed rail link to Paris.
Eurostar's new service will begin operating on November 14th and will provide access to France in a shorter amount of time.
