Work and money worries 'make holidays necessary'

The pressures of modern life mean that people are not willing to sacrifice their annual holiday, experts have revealed.
According to the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO), many people are struggling with issues such as high tax bills and increases to the cost of living.
This, combined, with the fact that many are working longer hours, means that a holiday is seen as a vital escape from the toils of daily life.
A spokesperson for AITO remarked: "They see a nice holiday as a necessity rather than a luxury."
He added that people are still prepared to pay for a trip abroad despite feeling the pinch of the ongoing credit crisis and other economic problems.
AITO said that while consumers are concerned about these issues, they will take a holiday "come hell or high water".
However, Cheapflights.co.uk recently revealed that financial constraints have led to many people choosing to visit cheaper destinations such as Egypt.
