Off plan opportunity in Egypt

Rising house prices and excellent rental incomes have marked Egypt as the next emerging market in overseas property.
With substantial development on both the Mediterranean and Red Sea coasts, a recent renovation operation at Cairo International Airport and rental incomes at a superb 11 per cent (double the UK average), the Egyptian market is showing potential for high capital growth.
Talking to easier.com, Tahir Ali, managing director of Egypt Revealed, said prices were rising at around 20 per cent per annum, making this a perfect time for investment.
He commented: "As with any emerging market, there is a window of opportunity. A growing economy, increasing tourism, encouragement of foreign direct investment by governments and direct flights are all good signs.
"Purchasing a property off plan enables buyers to enjoy discounted prices as well as capital gain over the duration of their build."
Mr Ali's comments followed the recent Vision to 2020 report, with Egypt and 12 other Middle Eastern countries committing to long-term investment projects to increase tourism in the region.
